A Maryland man died Saturday at age 71 after being hospitalized with complications from his illness, the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene said.
The Baltimore Sun reported that Benjamin B. King, 57, had been hospitalized since last Friday and had been suffering from a kidney ailment.
He died Saturday morning, the department said.
King had suffered from kidney disease, and the Sun reported he had been diagnosed with kidney failure.
He was found unresponsive in his hospital room on Saturday morning.
The paper reported that the cause of death was congestive heart failure.
