“Watch the 2013 version of ’13,’ ” Cameron said.
“There’s something to be said for being able to see something and know it’s not going to be your average movie.
And I think there’s something very important about having something that’s so personal.”
The movie, directed by Cameron’s son Tyler, stars Cameron’s estranged brother-in-law, Matthew McConaughey, and is set in the future where the United States has been conquered by the terrorist group, The Guardians of the Galaxy.
The movie is expected to be released in 2019.
Cameron has directed three films, including 2010’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Jurassic World,” and “Tracks.”
He was also a producer on the blockbuster “Fantastic Four,” which is currently in postproduction.
He is the creator of the hit TV series “Downton Abbey,” and is known for his animated series “The Simpsons.”
